Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to Head Finance SEA the incumbent will play a vital role in translating management directives into financial strategies and longterm financial planning. The incumbent will be a strong finance business partner and support the management team on taking the right business decisions. The FP&A Senior Manager will collaborate with various departments and senior leadership to drive financial performance and ensure the companys financial health.


DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

This role involves developing financial forecasts analysing financial data providing strategic insights and assisting in making informed decisions to achieve the companys financial objectives.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning:

  • Develop lead and manage the annual budgeting process working closely with department heads to gather input and create detailed budgets.
  • Create longterm financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.


Financial Analysis:

  • Analyse financial statements key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to identify areas of opportunity or concern.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability cost efficiency and overall financial performance.
  • Perform variance analysis to explain deviations from budget and forecast.


Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare and present financial reports including monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Create executivelevel presentations to communicate financial performance and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders.


Forecasting and Scenario Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain rolling forecasts to support agile decisionmaking.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of various business decisions and external factors.
  • Analyse market trends industry benchmarks and economic indicators to inform forecasting assumptions.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control costs across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and support for career development.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Skills And Experience

Skills

  • Analytical skills Identify trends in data spot inaccuracies and work with accountants to develop strategies. Detailoriented and highly organized.
  • Organization good organization skills and prioritization ensure that tasks are completed on time and files can be found easily.
  • Computer skills Use database software and accounting programs. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g. Excel financial planning software).
  • Integrity Entrusted with companies confidential financial data finance manager is expected to display integrity and confidentiality.
  • Communication skills Working with colleagues clients and auditors on a regular basis finance manager is clear communicators with a friendly disposition and a professional demeanor
  • Very good interpersonal manner with clear communication skills Writing and speaking business in English (another Asian language will be a ); Presentation and Training expertise with managing the multitasks in business development processes. Strong business acumen and a collaborative mindset.
  • Making Decisions in the Companys interest Use consensus approach for problem solving issues and when necessary the Manager arbitrates and makes final decision.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience combining an accounting background with a strong FP&A and Commercial Finance focus preferred.
  • Several years of experience in financial planning and analysis with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
  • 3 years experience in big 4 or in international corporation.
  • 2 within an insurance company finance team.
