Hatched Talent Solutions has partnered with a successful distribution business based in Newbury who are looking for an experienced Stock Controller / Inventory Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis.
Our partners buy and sell products globally, with exciting plans to expand their international business over the coming years. They have ambitious growth strategies and are targeting to double in revenue and size over the next five years.
Your main duties and responsibilities
- Setting, maintaining and reviewing of inventory levels
- General warehouse stock holding & bespoke stock holding for key customers
- Building & maintaining supplier relationships
- Arrange supplier collections & track supplier deliveries
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs
- Assess supplier performance
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Analyse sales data to set and regularly review min & max stock levels
- Providing reports for Company Directors
- Management of purchasing software (Unleashed)
- Negotiate special pricing for large quantity orders
- Match supplier invoices to bills in Xero
- Ensuring Sales Order Processing continue in any absence
- To effectively work as part of the HQ Team
- Strong collaboration with Warehouse, Sales & Company Directors
- And other duties associated with the role
Qualifications & Experience
- Procurement courses & qualifications (such as CIPS) welcomed but not essential
- Experience of delivering strategic contributions to company growth
- Collaboration with other departments
- Developing & building external relationships
- Good background knowledge of purchasing
- Experience in data trending and analysis
- Experience of using purchasing systems within a business
- Relationship Management
- Logistics experience welcomed

What's on offer
- Salary of 35,000 - 40,000 DOE
- Yearly bonus of up to 10%, depending on performance
