Job Description

As a Project Manager  Tunnels within EBCs Major Projects group your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Maintain and enforce high standards for health and safety on project sites;
  • Manage the complete project from prebid planning operations planning submittal documentation daily work efforts bill/payment certificates and project closeout;
  • Manage lead and control projects through lifecycle including staff subcontractors and job management;
  • Develop/Review and collaborate on budgets methodologies submittals and schedules;
  • Manage and participate in the processing of claims and extra work;
  • Collaborate with project staff maximize production efficiencies and develop safe and creative means and methods to add value and save costs on projects;
  • Develop and deliver quality projects reliably sustainably and environmentally focused;
  • Coach and mentor team members to foster a culture of betterment of individuals who work with the company;
  • Develop plans to maximize margins with safety in mind and ensure the companys interests are foremost during the project lifecycle;
  • Manage all aspects related to daily production production issues extra claims management and related time and material cost management;
  • Provide troubleshooting and issue resolution.


Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or Civil Engineering Technology;
  • 10 years of TBM tunnel related experience for a General Contractor/Constructor is required;
  • Excellent Claims and extras management experience is required;
  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management Software and Tools;
  • Demonstrated commitment to your team and the goals of the company;
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control on project delivery;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with clients;
  • Keen sense of foresight and versatility and a track record for creative problem solving.
Additional Skills/Competencies:
  • Leadership and Mentorship;
  • Advanced skills in management negotiation communication and problemsolving;
  • Initiative and leadership;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
  • Bilingualism French/English is considered an asset.
  • Must be willing to work on various project sites within the province of Ontario.
