Geologist

Position Overview:

Formation Environmental LLC (Formation) is currently seeking a motivated entrylevel geologist to join our team in Boulder CO. Projects will require travel to sites with field investigations varying in scope and duration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude in handling multiple project assignments while maintaining flexibility to meet deadlines showcasing exceptional organization and written/verbal communication skills and upholding a steadfast commitment to scientific integrity quality and adherence to established quality assurance quality control and health and safety protocols. Successful candidates will be part of multidisciplinary teams comprised of various experience levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• The primary duties will include assisting in planning and implementing field investigations (e.g. drilling lithologic logging in general accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System sampling hydrogeological interpretations preparing boring logs and groundwater potentiometric contour mapsetc.)
• Supporting the process of updating databases.
• Supporting the analysis and interpretation of environmental data.
• Contributing to the preparation of tables figures workplans and interpretive reports for a variety of projects.
