You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailA US-based company building a consumer-dataplatform is looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer. The engineer willadhere to strict production SLAs for a custom distributedapplication that runs on AWS cloud infrastructure.
The companyreduces data silos and improves customer experiences by simplifyingthe flow of customer data between systems and applications.
It hasmanaged to successfully raise close to $300 mn in funding. Thiswill be a long-term, full-time role that requires some overlap withthe US Eastern time zone. Job Responsibilities :
• Innovative monitoring, metrics, and log analytics to enablecontinuous improvement in system visibility and applicationperformance
• Identification of critical problems'root causes across the platform, incident reports, andcommunication
• Sustain, monitor, and contribute to theimprovement of the performance and availability of the 24x7production environment, which includes networks, servers,databases, and so on
• Supporting and troubleshooting theproduction and QA environments
• To resolve customerrequests / tickets, adhere to established internal workflows
• Participate in an on-call rotation and offer hands-onassistance during emergencies, outages, and service transitions
• Contribute to the development of long-term andshort-term strategies for scaling the production environment
• Follow a comprehensive incident management program thatincludes problem resolution
• Create key performanceindicators (KPIs) for service availability, uptime, and adherenceto SOPs and SLAs Job Requirements :
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering,Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• 2+years of experience with Linux server administration
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Basic scripting skills- Bash and Python
• Technicalknowledge of several monitoring and analytics tools such as AWSCloudWatch, Sumologic, and Datadog
• Experience withDocker, Vagrant, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet is nice to have
