Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to work as an integral part of the radiology team at the hospital.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Based on a needs assessment provide an inpatient occupational therapy service that is both effective and efficient.
- To speak for and advance occupational therapy inside the hospital and conduct educational seminars for the medical and nursing personnel regarding the function of occupational therapy there
- Collaborate with the manager of Allied Therapy to define the scope and plan of patient occupational therapy services.
- Provide the best possible service by determining and putting into place operating procedures that adhere to best practice standards.
- To establish and foster positive working relationships with all other professionals in medicine and allied therapy by maintaining open lines of communication.
- To oversee guide and assist staff members who work in occupational therapy
- To support occupational therapy placements of students
- To keep accurate records and data that are needed for legal and organizational requirements.
- To update and examine the protocol materials guidelines and OT policy regularly.
- To take part in appropriate hospital committees
Requirements
- CORU Registration mandatory.
- Membership in AOTI is optional yet desirable.
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist in an acute adult hospital environment is required of candidates.
