Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Windows Server Administrator with a deep understanding of system architecture best practices and the ability to manage largescale computing solutions. The successful candidate will be adept in handson implementation daily management and troubleshooting across various areas of server and system management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server and Workstation Management: Install configure and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
- System Performance: Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal functioning of Windows systems.
- Hardware Understanding: Knowledge of hardware aspects related to Rack / Blade Servers and Storage.
- Storage Systems: Exposure to multiple types of storage systems is advantageous.
- Virtualization: VMWare experience in terms of installation configuration daytoday management and troubleshooting of the virtualization setup
- Networking: Understanding of VLANs tagging and basic network requirements.
- High Availability Solutions: Build and manage high availability (HA) solutions or clusters on servers databases and hypervisors.
- Server Hardening: Implement and maintain security baselines for servers storage and related devices.
- Patch Management: Oversee patch management processes.
- Antivirus Management: Deploy and manage antivirus solutions.
- Backup Solutions: Manage backup solutions perform regular data backups and develop and test disaster recovery plans.
- Email Solutions: Basic understanding of email technologies and solutions.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with thirdparty vendors for application deployment and other solutions ensuring adherence to best practices and policies.
- Database and Web Technologies: Knowledge of databases web server technologies and application servers is a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience in capital markets or BFSI (Banking Financial Services and Insurance) sectors is beneficial.
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Understand and adhere to SLAs.
- Monitoring Solutions: Familiarity with monitoring and management solutions including defining parameters thresholds and alerting mechanisms.
- Daily Processes: Create and manage daily checklists for all processes.
- Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills preferably multilingual. Ability to prioritize and escalate issues effectively.
Experience Required:
- Total Experience: 4 to 8 years
- Relevant Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of independent work as a System Administrator.
