About My Community Homes

My Community Homes (MCH) provides quality updated singlefamily homes for rent (SFR) around the country. Meeting the needs of today s renter we offer family homes that are wellmaintained close to job centers and near toprated schools. We are located in Miami Florida and our core business revolves around SFR acquisitions renovations and rentals in the most desirable locations across the United States. The Company started in 2021 and has already become a national success in the SFR space.

Essential Functions

As a Director of Maintenance you will lead internal and external R&M Partners to ensure the best possible outcome on service requests that residents are highly satisfied and expenses and costs stay within stated company targets while controlling costs by overseeing maintenance and service
jobs accurately track and report work.
  • Analyze and think critically about incoming inquiries to help develop future processes and structures to streamline and grow customer service processes and models.
  • Monitor and manage response times resident satisfaction and the overall productivity and efficiency within MCH portfolio.
  • Proactively identify root causes of issues and makes recommendations for process improvements future state.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of lease documents and resident rules and regulations
  • Approves third party vendors vendor pricing resident charge backs and invoices for completed work.
  • Manage service jobs to provide outstanding customer service and timely resolution to resident requests on occupied homes.
  • Communicate effectively with R&M Partners Property Managers and My Community Homes leadership as well as with tenants owners and agencies via telephone and email regarding any issues that arise relating to maintenance requests as needed.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned that are in the best interests of the company while being a champion for My Community Homes Core Values.
  • Performance management of personnel including reviews career advancement path corrective action mentoring and performance improvement plans.
  • Supervision of staff set goals and holds associates and vendors accountable for results
  • Coordinate activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes
  • Develop team and is focused on succession plan within group
  • Ensure that associates all have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance


Requirements

Pivotal Experience & Expertise
  • Bachelors degree in construction economics finance operations engineering or a related area with a Masters degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of senior construction and operational management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of the home renovation turn and construction processes / execution
  • Extensive knowledge of Plumbing Electrical HVAC Flooring Appliances Landscaping and Irrigation Systems as they relate to residential homes
  • Experience managing vendor relations onboarding new vendors and negotiating pricing
  • Available to work flexible hours which may include some weekends and evenings
  • Available to offer support for afterhours R&M Partners
  • Ability to review and understand cost estimates and scopes of work and in tune with current labor rates in given MSA
  • Strong customer service skills and must be able to address customer s concerns professionally
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage remote workers
  • Proven record of working independently and with minor supervision
  • Manage larger project outside scope of subordinates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and other scope of work software
