Power Supply Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• To define and develop a power supply/electronic load solution to meet customer and market demands.
• To define the test parameters and capture new requirements for power supply/electronic load.
• To collaborate with different team to ensure the power supply/electronic load meets system requirements.
• To actively participate in design verification testing and characterization of power supply/electronic load in the lab.
• To provide support to the other teams to facilitate manufacturing of the power supply/electronic load products.

Qualifications

Work based competencies:

• Good knowledge in power conversion topologies including ACDC and DCDC converters (eg. AC rectification PFC flyback forward half/full bridge resonant etc.)
• Appreciation of cost/performance tradeoffs in power supply design for costsensitive and highvolume applications
• Magnetics design knowledge and experience
• Control loop theory and practice in the context of power supplies.
• Good understanding of international EMC and electrical safety regulations and circuit techniques to achieve compliance at minimal BOM cost.
• Proficiency with software tools such as LTspice TINA Saber Matlab etc.
• Demonstrated ability to write accurate and concise technical documentation including bench evaluations and simulation results.
• Practical bench skills and confident user of lab equipment.
• Familiarity with digital circuit design microcontrollers FPGA prototyping and Verilog programming (preferred not a must).
