Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments of patients to determine appropriate anaesthetic plans
• Administer anaesthesia during surgical obstetrical or other medical procedures
• Monitor and manage patients vital signs throughout the anaesthetic period
• Oversee the proper emergence from anaesthesia postprocedure
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Provide consultation services on anaesthesia to medical staff and patients
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Supervise and train resident doctors and medical students
• Stay updated with current medical practices and anaesthetic techniques

Required Qualifications:

• MD in Anaesthesiology
• Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Anaesthesiology
• Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) is desirable
• Valid medical license to practice as an anaesthesiologist
• Minimum 5 years of experience in general anaesthesia
• Expertise in administering various types of anaesthesia
• Strong understanding of critical care and pain management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a teambased environment

• Sound knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality
