Database Administrator- Contract to Hire

Job Overview:

We seek a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our databases ensuring their performance availability and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling HTAP OLTP and OLAP systems and will be proficient in database administration focusing on ensuring optimal database operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.

46 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on HTAP OLTP and OLAP systems.

Strong proficiency in database management systems (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle SQL Server).

Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

Knowledge of database security and compliance best practices.

Proficiency in backup and recovery strategies and disaster recovery planning.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).

Experience with cloudbased database services (e.g. AWS RDS Azure SQL Database Google Cloud SQL Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell scripting) for database automation tasks.
