Job Description

AudioVisual Onsite Tech Support (Bethesda MD)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Audio Visual Onsite Tech Support to join their Customer Services team in Ottawa Canada. The ideal candidate will ensure unsurpassed quality control and continuity of AV systems videoconference solutions and services. This role involves managing all aspects of AV and video conferencing hardware software maintenance and support requirements ensuring customer meeting rooms and conference facilities are always operational.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all forms of audiovisual and video conferencing hardware software maintenance and support requirements.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed to keep customer meeting rooms and conference facilities up and running.
  • Analyze equipment usage reproduce clientreported issues and perform testing of manufacturer interoperability and/or hardware and software.
  • Conduct predeployment testing of new software builds and releases.
  • Diagnose video communications incidents quickly and efficiently.
  • Initiate develop and manage a range of complex AV/IT project
  • Fulfill corrective maintenance works in accordance with Technical Specifications for Site Corrective Maintenance and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Create and update documentation for the AV systems.
  • Suggest and implement immediate improvements in overall AV systems video meetings and collaboration quality.




Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree level minimum
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Native English language skills
  • Confident in MS Office.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Good understanding of basic network terminology and technology
  • Good understanding of video conferencing and audio solutions
  • Selfmotivated and comfortable working autonomously as part of a dispersed team.
  • Technically fluent with the ability to work with different hardware and software technologies
  • Quick and continuous learner.
  • Ability to work and think well under pressure.
  • Positive cando approach and attitude.
  • Customeroriented mindset.
  • Desirable: MTRs Cisco and/or Poly Certification(s).


Job Requirements: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with QCS controls, Biamp, Audio DSP, Shure and Intelix. Great to have: AVPro Edge and Visionary Solutions for VoIP / switchers Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AV equipment Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls are preferred. Advanced working knowledge of computers (Windows-based) and software. Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid driver s license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
