- The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in preparing authentic South Indian cuisine including a variety of traditional dishes from states such as Tamil Nadu Kerala Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
- The South Indian Cook will be responsible for ensuring highquality food preparation maintaining kitchen hygiene and contributing to menu development.
Requirements
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide range of South Indian dishes including but not limited to idli dosa sambar rasam biryani curries chutneys and snacks.
Recipe Adherence: Follow established recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
Ingredient Management: Source select and manage ingredients to maintain freshness and authenticity of the cuisine.
Menu Development: Assist in developing and refining the South Indian menu incorporating seasonal ingredients and new culinary trends.
Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean organized and efficient kitchen workspace. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff including other cooks chefs and kitchen assistants to ensure timely and efficient service.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure dishes are prepared to meet customer expectations and accommodate special dietary requirements when needed.
Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients minimizing waste and ensuring cost efficiency.
