Job Description

AWS Alliances Lead

Location: London / Partner Offices / Remote 2 days per week in the Cloudscaler London office

Salary:. This position does not have commission/OTE. The position will receive employment benefits as listed at the bottom of the advert.

Due to working with UK Government customers we will undertake BS7858:2019 background checks so you must be able to pass these checks.

Role Overview

Cloudscaler is seeking a dynamic and experienced AWS Alliance Lead to further grow our strategic alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This pivotal role will be responsible for cultivating and leveraging our relationship with AWS to drive business growth generate new opportunities and position Cloudscaler as the premier AWS partner in our target markets.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship builder with a deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem and/or deep vertical experience with a proven track record of generating business value through strategic partnerships. This role requires a proactive selfdriven individual who can effectively navigate both the AWS and Cloudscaler organisations to create mutually beneficial outcomes.

Responsibilities

Relationship Building and Networking

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key AWS personnel across different levels and departments
  • Present oneself as the face of Cloudscaler within AWS building credibility through professional and competent engagement
  • Create and implement a strategic networking plan targeting both AWS personnel and potential clients in the AWS ecosystem

Business Growth and Opportunity Generation

  • Generate new leads and opportunities through the AWS relationship focussing on networking and personal engagement
  • Contribute to increasing average deal size and accelerating the deal speed of AWSgenerated sales opportunities
  • Set and achieve quarterly targets for new leads opportunities and revenue generated through the AWS partnership

Strategic Positioning and GotoMarket Activities

  • Position Cloudscaler as the AWS partner of choice within new segments of AWS
  • Develop lead and deliver joint gotomarket activities within AWS
  • Attend relevant AWS and industry events establishing Cloudscaler as a goto expert through speaking engagements and thought leadership presentations

Internal Collaboration and Communication

  • Support the Alliance Lead with marketing initiatives involving AWS
  • Contribute to strategy and planning of the sales marketing and alliance functions
  • Regularly communicate AWS insights trends and opportunities to the Cloudscaler team

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a sales position within the AWS ecosystem whether in alliances business development or recruitment
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic partnerships
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding and networking skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation
  • Demonstratable ability to generate leads and close deals in a B2B technology environment
  • Experience in developing and executing joint gotomarket strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and competitive intelligence
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptability and agility to thrive in a fastpaced evolving cloud services market

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working for an AWS ISV or consulting partner
  • Alliances experience
  • Experience selling into public sector defence or financial services
  • Experience in project management and crossfunctional collaboration
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

Interview Process

  1. Screening call with our Talent Acquisition team
  2. 1st Interview 60 minute remote interview with a member of our Alliances team and Talent Acquisition
  3. 2nd Interview 60 minute remote interview with a member of our leadership team
  4. 3rd Interview 60 minute in person interview with members of our Senior Leadership Team and Alliances team
