CAM Programmer

Roles and responsibilities

• Understanding of customers (often poor) 2D or 3D Drawings / sketches & ability to interpret & reflect in a 3D Model

• 3D modelling (solidworks) to assist the sales team providing complete 3D models to import into the quoting software to achieve accurate quotes

• Liasing with the sales team to relay any information to assist with quoting

• Communication with suppliers to obtain material and outsourced part prices

• Assistance with the drawing office

Required skills and experience

• 5 Years Sheet metal & fabrication

• 5 Years Solidworks

• Very good understanding of both 2D and 3D drawings
