Job Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for effectively and efficiently processing payroll following established procedures to ensure compliance with related regulations and process controls. This position collaborates with multiple functional groups and works in HR payroll and timekeeping systems to maintain accurate and timely records of employee earnings deductions and taxes. The Payroll Coordinator provides worldclass service to employees with payrollrelated questions and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare and process payroll for salaried and hourly employees across different legal entities under overall Wesco umbrella.
- Covers both internal and outsourced payroll vendors
- Review and verify payroll data such as days and hours worked pay rates overtime shift allowances deductions and taxes.
- Validate precheck payroll calculations and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with federal state and local tax laws and regulations as well as labor laws and employee agreements.
- Complete assignments such as preparation of payroll reports audit tasks project tasks etc.
- Deliver outstanding payrollrelated service to employees. Clearly communicate with employees on payrollrelated issues and questions.
- Assist regular payroll processes such as audits yearend closing and special bonuses.
- Stay updated on the latest payroll trends best practices and regulation
Required Skills:
- Proficient in payroll software such as Oracle Keka and WorkDay etc.
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations as well as labor laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Advanced Excel.
Qualification and Experience:
- Two to five years of experience in payroll processing or administration
- Holds Bachelors Degree (Any)
