Job Description

FILINVEST COMPANY: QUEST HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER CEBU (PROPERTY SPECIALISTS RESOURCES INC.)

Position Summary:

The Training Manager proposes and establishes an appropriate training culture to ensure organizational commitment to its people by ensuring appropriate levels of skills knowledge and competence in order to achieve highest levels of Owner and Management Team satisfaction and its employee morale thereby maximizing organizational profitability and achieving organizations vision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defines establishes and maintains proper and harmonious communication so that an open transparent organization can be created.
  • Ensures administration and maintenance of accurate training system including:
  1. Annual Training Plan and Budget
  2. Monthly Training Plan and Report
  3. Employee Training Record
  4. Continuous Training Needs Analysis
  • Ensures that quality training activities are in alignment with the visionmission and that the quality tools are understood and used in all levels of the hotel.
  • Proactively manages occupational health and safety training activities to prevent accidents and promote a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Implements communicates clarifies all trainingrelated policies and procedures and proposes modifications to remain current with the units specific needs.
  • Analyses the monthly Guest Comments Summary to identify negative guest comment trend in various departments and develops and conducts specific staff training programs to improve hotel services.
  • Prepares Training Reports and Training Plans
  • Identifies and proposes appropriate Training and Development strategies to ensure lean and responsive organization and Training and Development interventions to ensure the hotels commitment to employee professional development.
  • Contributes to the formulation and implementation of Training & Development policy and procedure in line with the hotels business strategy
  • Supports any change initiatives from a Training & Development perspective
  • Liaises regularly with the related practitioners and keeps being updated on Training & Development trends in the regions
  • Develops and recommends measures to study impact of training conducted
  • Continuously updates and designs training modules to ensure it meets the identified needs
  • Identifies develops and defines training needs in order to keep enhancing the stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Monitors the inventory and maintenance of the Training Room Training Aids Equipment and Materials.
  • Continuously updates Corporate Office Training and Development Manual and assists each with the compilation and continuous update of their Training Department Operations Manuals
  • Proposes and implements strategies to ensure a continuous improvement of employees knowledge skills and attitude.
  • Ensures the hotels Departmental Trainers are carrying out their duties and responsibilities ensuring their maximum utilization whilst continuously developing their selfdevelopment as well.
  • Ensures the implementation of new employee induction program.

Qualifications:

  • Strong effective communicator in writing business presentations & interpersonal communication
  • Graduate of BS Psychology or any behavioral courses
  • Masters in Education or Human Management an advantage
  • At least 3 years experience as training manager or the same capacity in a customer service oriented company
  • Teaching experience is an advantage
