- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fulltime hybrid post for a DoLS Referral Officer to join our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team (DoLS) in Slough Council. You will be part of running the service day to day supporting the DoLS service s improvement and development. We are a newly formed highly motivated team who are very supportive of each other.
- Two days in Slough Offices.
Proficient in MS Office i.e. able to use most of the systems functions without assistance. Utilizes information and communications technology to access and communicate information Ability to create letters, emails, presentations and documents competently. Numeracy works accurately with figures, e.g. calculate %, cross checking data. Attention to detail and accuracy. Displays accurate keyboard skills, rapid data input. Communicates effectively with people at different levels using all access channels. Good organizational skills. Work effectively under pressure in a busy, diverse and demanding work environment. Well-developed listening skills and the ability to assimilate information. Proven ability in capturing, storing and accurately retrieving information to meet service needs. Tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and sensitivity. Able to work without supervision using own initiative. Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets and database formats. A sound understanding of the administration process of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and legal requirements of the supervisory body. Basic understanding of the principles of the Mental Capacity 2005. Previous experience of providing information and advice to the public and / or customers. Previous experience in office administration. Experience of working within the framework of Mental Capacity 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. The ability to prioritize incoming work and escalate concerns when required. Ability to work independently as required in day-to-day activities of the role.
