What you will be doing:
- Evaluate students speech and language abilities
- Administer diagnostic tests to assess speech and language abilities
- Establish Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Set realistic goals for improvement
- Implement IEPs
- Provide therapy in oneonone or group sessions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement educational programs
- Coordinate speechlanguage therapy with other therapeutic activities
Experience you will need:
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology
- Valid New York State license in SpeechLanguage Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
