Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Sitters/Caregivers to join our team providing care and support to children in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about caring for children understands the importance of cultural sensitivity and can adapt to the unique needs of each child they serve.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Provide oneonone care and supervision to children in a hospital setting.
Engage with children through various activities to keep them comforted and entertained.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the childs needs are met.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children.
Communicate effectively with children and their families showing empathy and understanding.
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
**Requirements:**
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a GED high school diploma or a higher educational degree.
At least 1 year of experience working with children.
Ability to pass a Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) background check.
Must be screened for tuberculosis and show a negative result on the screening. Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in arriving to work.
Respectful and understanding of people from different races cultures and backgrounds.
Proficiency in the English language is required. Ability to speak the same language as the child to be served if the childs primary language is not English is preferred.
