Job Description

Commercial Mechanical Project Engineer


As a commercial mechanical project engineer your role involves overseeing the planning selling implementation and completion of commercial mechanical projects for highend residential homes commercial and industrial buildings. You would be working with boiler system design chiller design cooling tower design domestic hot water design HVAC design/build and refrigeration system design. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks you might handle:

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scoping:
Develop commercial project plans including timelines milestones and resources required.
Coordinate with clients architects engineers and contractors to define project scope and objectives.
2. Client Communication:
Build and maintain relationships with key decisionmakers such as facility managers property owners and building engineers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
Provide regular updates on project progress milestones and any issues that may affect timelines or budget.
3. Selling:
Oversee the sales process from initial customer contact through installation ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.
Collaborate closely with our Field Supervisor to ensure projects are scoped accurately and executed efficiently.
4. Budget Management:
and nbsp; and nbsp;Estimate project costs and prepare budgets.
and nbsp; and nbsp;Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
5. Quality Assurance:
and nbsp; and nbsp;Ensure compliance with building codes regulations and safety standards.
and nbsp; and nbsp;Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify work meets specifications.
and nbsp; and nbsp;Ability to effectively read and understand mechanical plans and specification
6. Risk Management:
and nbsp; and nbsp;Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
and nbsp; and nbsp;Address issues and conflicts that arise during project execution.
7. Market and Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends technological advancements and regulatory changes affecting mechanical systems.
Position yourself as a trusted advisor by providing insights and recommendations based on industry expertise.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
and nbsp; and nbsp;Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts permits and change and nbsp; and nbsp;orders.
and nbsp; and nbsp;Prepare reports for stakeholders summarizing project status costs and outcomes.
9. PostProject Evaluation:
Conduct postproject reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Ensure completion of any outstanding tasks documentation (manuals reports etc.) or client deliverables.

Qualifications: and nbsp;

Engineering degree
Minimum of 5 years experience
Strong organizational skills
Technical knowledge of commercial mechanical systems
Effective communication abilities
Being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction
