Registered Nurse - Operating Room Nursing

Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (Nursing)

Location: Newark NY 14513

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Shift: 10hr Day

Pay Rate: $70/hr


Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist the surgical team during operations.
• Monitor patients vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure the operating room environment is sterile.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery.

Requirements:

• Active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Previous experience in an operating room setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have minimum 3 years experience
