Job Title: DOCSIS Senior Network Engineer
Location: Englewood CO 80112 hybrid 4 days onsite and 1 day remote
Duration: 12 month contract potential to convert and/or extend

- Candidates must be local and willing to work onsite
- 4 years of experience to qualify for the DOCSIS Senior Network Engineer position
- Number of Positions: 2 (1 opening for the DOCSIS Senior Network Engineer position and 1 opening for the DOCSIS Network Engineer position)
JOB OVERVIEW
- Work with engineering team to review firmware requirements and provide feedback
- Participate in weekly bug classification and prioritization
- Establish test network environments as documented in test plans
- Perform systemwide endtoend integration and regression testing
- Document results and review with designated teams or vendors as needed.
- Work with vendor and other stakeholders to resolve issues discovered during testing; develop and document workarounds where possible and assist operations team with implementation and escalations as needed
- Participate in Operational handoff review activities
- Accomplish the above tasks within allotted project timelines
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should have at least 2 years of handson network engineering experience preferably with a cable Multiple System Operator (MSO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
- Experience in CPE (customer premise equipment i.e internet triple play etc) Testing is strongly desired.
- Will test product functions of these routers/modems/devices
- Candidates must have a good understanding of DOCSIS (DOCSIS is Nice to have not must have) PacketCable and provisioning including TR069.
- Experience with IP routing IP multicast streaming video wireless Voice over IP (VoIP) and/or home networking is desired.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The candidate must be a team player with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines and have strong problem solving capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards IEEE ANSI Fiber (Multimode Single mode UTP etc.) Bridging Switching Routing Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols
- Knowledge in network design network architecture protocols and network topology
- Knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
- Ability to perform duties in a very fastpaced environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
- Project and ticket tools: Jira Remedy
- Fiber PON GPON experience is a nice to have
- Lab experience is nice to have
- Experience with automation databases scripting and system administration is a nice to have
- Agile environment
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
