Requirements:

• Proficiency in Android development using Java and Kotlin
• Experience with enterpriselevel clients
• Track record of publishing apps in app stores
• Excellent programming skills

MustHave:

• 6 years of experience as an Android engineer
• Expertise in Android development with Kotlin and Java
• Ability to plan implement maintain and lead technical projects
• Skills in caching logging performance tuning monitoring and scaling
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of unit/UI testing best practices and patterns
• Comfort in working within a distributed team and communicating asynchronously
• Experience in a successful agile development team
• Capability to take full responsibility for the product from planning to deployment
• Experience with GraphQL is highly desirable
• Experience in the retail industry is a plus
• Experience in providing oncall support with the L2 availability team during critical business hours is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver code that is readable maintainable testable scalable reusable and efficient
• Work in an Agile team with engineers designers and product managers to collaboratively solve problems
• Recommend design improvements from the customers perspective
• Collaborate with backend teams to design effective and understandable APIs
• Follow established architecture patterns and suggest improvements
• Implement new features according to specifications
• Participate in and lead code reviews for yourself and others
• Build unit and functional tests
• Learn and implement the latest technologies
• Mentor fellow engineers
• Participate in oncall rotations (daytime hours) to assist the Support team in solving customer issues
• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information engaging support teams formulating action plans executing designated actions interpreting results and performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Complete online documentation as required.
