Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Personal Tax Accountant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering comprehensive personal tax services ensuring compliance and providing strategic tax planning advice to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients including highnetworth individuals business owners and expatriates.
- Provide expert advice on personal tax matters including income tax capital gains tax inheritance tax and trust taxation.
- Prepare and review selfassessment tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
- Conduct tax planning and advisory services to optimise clients tax positions.
- Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients managing any enquiries or investigations.
- Keep uptodate with changes in tax legislation and communicate these to clients and the team.
- Mentor and support junior staff fostering their development and ensuring high standards of work.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated services to clients.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with significant experience in personal tax.
- Demonstrable experience in managing a diverse client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Proactive and selfmotivated with a commitment to delivering highquality service.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
