Job Description

Position Overview:

The Payroll Compliance Associate will be responsible for ensuring the companys payroll processes comply with all applicable federal state and local regulations. This role will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our payroll system and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Review and audit payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and file payrollrelated tax returns and ensure timely payment of payroll taxes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor changes in payroll laws and regulations and update payroll processes accordingly.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to payrollrelated inquiries from employees and management providing timely and accurate information.
  • Collaborate with HR Finance and other departments to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal state and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g. ADP Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Experience with multistate payroll processing.
  • Previous Experience in the construction/manufacturing industry.
