Associate Attorney

About the job

The successful candidate will have 58 years of personal injury (product liability and/or medical malpractice) or mass tort experience including drafting discovery and pleadings taking depositions and arguing motions.

Location: Philadelphia PA

Job Responsibilities:

Handle personal injury case files from start to finish including client contact reviewing medical records drafting complaint answering discovery taking depositions

Comfortable drafting complaints motions discovery responses demand letters other pleadings and other legal documents

Ability to perform legal research and review medical records

Communicate with clients expert witnesses fact witnesses and medical providers to gather information and take depositions of same individuals

Argue discovery and dispositive motions

Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system

Work one on one with paralegals assigned to files

Special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and a J.D. degree is required

Pennsylvania law license is mandatory

58 years of experience in personal injury litigation (products liability and/or medical malpractice) or mass torts

A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law medical terminology products liability law

Superb research and writing skills

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
