Team Manager - Fostering

Job Title: Team Manager Fostering & Supported Lodgings
Location: Dorset
Job Type: FullTime
Salary: 38.00 per hour
Working Hours: 8:40 AM 5:20 PM Monday to Friday (Flexibility required when on duty)

Tasks

Lead and manage a team of social workers and professionals.
Provide safeguarding advice and guidance.
Oversee statutory social work services for children young people and families.
Step in for the Operational Manager when needed.
Ensure effective performance management and staff training.
Manage budgets efficiently.
Collaborate with partner agencies to improve outcomes.
Conduct reflective supervision and manage staff performance.
Handle complaints and commendations.
Manage social work caseloads to ensure timely service delivery.
Attend court proceedings and relevant meetings.
Conduct case audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
Implement lessons from serious case reviews to enhance practices

Requirements

BA/BS in Social Work (minimum).
Registration with Social Work England.
Enhanced DBS check (child and adult/barred).
Extensive knowledge of fostering regulations and standards.
Experience managing supported lodgings and postapproval support in fostering.
Strong understanding of supported lodgings regulations and Ofsted registration.
