Position Overview:
The Senior Generalist, People & Culture will report directly to the Vice President, People & Culture. He/she will support the organization in Portugal and Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and implementation of HR plans to attract, develop and engage talent. They must be a high-energy professional, who is responsive and supportive of staff at all levels to help them be more productive and successful in their jobs. This individual will be a true business partner to the Managers, helping to manage, grow, retain, and bring new talent into the company. It is essential that this individual is a positive and solutions-oriented role model who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest in HR as a profession, have working knowledge of the human resources function, strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition:
  • Leading and creating a culture within the HR Team locally that supports process improvement, increased efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Providing consultative full cycle recruitment services and advice on advertising, sourcing and selection methods, interview, and negotiation methodology.
  • Approach each day with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and a proactive, data-driven approach to find root-causes and fix them.
  • Coordinate recruiting resources in partnership with IT Technical Recruiter for post-secondary recruitment, career fairs, establishing professional relationships with college and community placement offices as sources to generate qualified applicants.
  • Work with department managers and directors locally (Portugal and Europe) to perform job analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and manage job postings alongside appropriate Social Media Networks, Internal Job Boards, and Jolera affiliated Colleges.
  • Enhance candidate experience by establishing and maintaining consistent feedback loop for candidates.
  • Assist in sourcing, recruiting, and screening candidates and job applications.
  • Assist in the interviewing and hiring process of candidates.
  • Provide
  • Assist with promoting Company’s Reputation and Awareness.
Human Resource Management:
  • Building strong relationships with employees and helping manage all dimensions of employee relations.
  • Providing coaching and counseling to employees in areas such as conflict resolution and career development.
  • Assist with career development plans for Portugal and European employees and the implementation of learning and development programs, as well as other process improvements.
  • Maintain personnel records and records keeping including benefits, compensation, and leaves of absence.
  • Assist with on-boarding process and new hire integration into organization and the exiting process of employees leaving the company.
  • Assist with on-going program and policy assessments to ensure continued cultural and as well as facility improvements and growth, and ensure policies are followed Company-wide.
  • Ensuring compliance with all national and local employment laws
  • Assist with the training, initiative and development of new HRIS system.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Human Resources
  • Full working proficiency in Portuguese (C2 minimum)
  • Full working proficiency in English (C2 minimum)
  • Relevant work experience and/or education working for a company of 100+ people (Target 12 months)
  • Knowledge of Portuguese labour laws
  • Familiar with HRM Applications and related Recruitment Management Applications.
  • Ability to drive strategy, and to work with data and analytics.
  • Experience dealing with complex employee relations
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Stellar interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential nature of human resources work
