Job Description

This is a remote position.

Assist Accounts/Finance manager with input of data for reporting/budget purposes
Assist with any prepreparation required for weekly payroll
Assist with preparing data for end of month reconciliations.
Undertake daily receipting for all deposits
Undertake daily bank reconciliations (if confident to do so and supervised by Accounts/Finance Manager)
Assist Accounts/Finance Manager with the processing of EFT transactions and reporting as required by QLS
Attend to staff inquiries
Assist Accounts/Finance Manager with daily trust and general account reconciliations (if confident to do so)
Draw cheques as required in a timely manner
Assist with checking and processing EFT transactions as requested (must be signedoff by Accounts/Finance Manager)
Undertake scanning and filing of cheque butts other bank statements and general accounts filing etc
Assist with reconciliation of credit card receipts
Assist with preparation of trust to office transfers (as required) checking that invoices have been sent and/or appropriate time period has passed for transfer from Trust
Assist with issuing of client Trust Account statements as required
Assist with preparation for annual Trust Account audit
Assist with entering details for payment of office expenses
Assist Accounts/Finance Manager with distribution of monthly Aged Debtors reports to Team Leaders
Distribute weekly Billable Time reports to Team Leaders
Send monthly Pending Entries report to fee earners affected
Assist with preparation of other reports as directed by Accounts/Finance Manager

Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience in an accounts assistant role within a law firm
Experience in Practice Evolve or similar legal software system
Experience in legal professional services
Bookkeeping qualification (desirable)
Proficient in Excel/spreadsheets
Good level of responsibility
High level of accuracy with work
High level of time management skills
