Job Description

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is a nonpolitical and nonprofit organisation dedicated to strengthening and uniting European Radiology. With more than 135000 members worldwide it has become the largest radiological society that organises one of the most innovative scientific congresses in this field the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

EU politics and international guidelines have a growing impact on healthcare in Europe particularly medical imaging. The ESR closely monitors EU legislation and initiatives and has successfully built relations with relevant EU institutions international organisations and other stakeholders over the last years. The main aim of the ESR is to be acknowledged as a major stakeholder in EU health policies and involved in consultation processes for new legislative initiatives in this field.

Tasks

  • Work as a member of the ESR department of European and International Affairs
  • Monitor analyse and comment on the development of EU policy initiatives and projects relevant to the radiology profession
  • Develop position papers and presentations for the ESR on key topics and issues together with the ESRs experts
  • Institutional relations and outreach regular interactions with EU Institutions (EP EC Council) and European health stakeholders
  • Collect analyse and summarise reports surveys
  • Participate in various events working meetings etc.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. political science European studies health economics law medicine)
  • Excellent command of English language (C2)
  • Familiarity with European institutions and related decisionmaking processes and ideally with the European health sector
  • Minimum one year of work experience in European public policy
  • Experience in public affairs producing position papers briefings and press releases
  • Strong analytical organisational and communication skills

The monthly gross salary for this job vacancy (385h) is at least 3000
(14 times per year). The final salary can be negotiated and depends on your relevant experience and qualifications.
