Infrastructure System Engineer ISE - European citizens only

Practical validation and implementation of the solutions recommended or designed by the Software or Infrastructure Architects.

Design development tests documentation release control maintenance and technical support of infrastructure software components and services matching the specifications.

Proof of concept prototyping of infrastructure solutions.

Technical responsibility for infrastructure development projects.

Assistance and support to Software Architects and Information System developers.

Provision of technical studies technical expertise technical evaluations in relation with Information Systems infrastructure.

Production of technical documentation.

Assistance with configuration of the system for production deployment and in training administrators and users.

Participation in meetings within the Commission.

Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.

Compile and analyze data processes and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.

The selected candidate will also act as a System Administrator for one of our internal networks based on Linux and Windows computers

Tasks

Good knowledge of web applications apps backend applications infrastructure scripts or other development area as required to perform the specified tasks.

Knowledge of relational database management.

Experience in componentbased and serviceoriented applications development or configuration.

Experience in managing Windows Update services and endpoint management systems.

Knowledge of Web and network infrastructure including VPN.

Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and docker technologies.

Good understanding of IT security requirements and EC policies is required.

Notions on usage of social media.

Requirements

The selected candidate will work within a team dealing with sensitive security matters; therefore integrity discretion and loyalty are a must. The selected candidate will be required to apply for a Personal Security Clearance from an EU Member State. Should the security clearance be refused by the relevant National Security Authorities the Specific Contract would be ended without further justification.
