Job Description

Job Title: Emergency and Accident Nurse

Location: Various Locations Across Australia

Job Type: FullTime / Permanent

Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Emergency and Accident Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an Emergency and Accident Nurse you will be at the forefront of critical care providing rapid and effective medical treatment to patients experiencing acute illness or trauma. You will work in a fastpaced environment where quick decisionmaking and excellent clinical skills are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate and effective medical care to patients in emergency situations.
  • Assess triage and prioritize patient care based on the severity of their condition.
  • Administer medications treatments and emergency interventions as necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients responses to treatments adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions treatments and postdischarge care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency or critical care setting.
  • Advanced life support (ALS) certification is required
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights weekends and public holidays.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in Australia
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current CPR/BLS and ALS
  • Evidence of annual flu vaccination
  • Evidence of COVID19 vaccinations (booster recommended)
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and chronic disease management.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
