Commercial Learning Development Program Manager/Instructional Designer Job Description
The CLD Program Manager with Instructional Design is a centralized role that supports the Global Commercial Training and Development teams through design work and innovative projects. The Instructional Designer will need to be adept at managing several programs related to selling skills and Therapeutic Area needs creative content builder programing into Articulate be comfortable working in a fast pace environment with multiple stakeholders and be able to provide instructional design expertise to a diverse set of projects. The role will sit within GCLD Learning Operations however they will interact with all teams in our department.

Basic Qualifications:
Additional project management skills highly recommended project ownership and ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be required example combining multiple selling models.
Provide learning project management services including instructional design development revision of new and existing instructorled and selfpaced (online) learning experiences.
Create and maintain eLearning and microlearning content with a variety of authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360/Storyline Camtasia).
Develop additional content as required e.g. course outlines training aids assessments and facilitator guides.
Engage the project team subject matter experts and stakeholders to define and develop learning program goals and objectives needs analysis content development delivery evaluation and revision.
Applies modern instructional strategies to drive behavioral outcomes and high engagement. Leads and participates in all phases of the ADDIE process Analysis; Design; Development; Implementation; Evaluation. Applies the 6Ds Learning Transfer principles to determine organizational training needs.
Must be able to apply and implement adult learnings principles.
Designs the most effective instructional method media presentation style and develops solutions that drive learning transfer. Designs and develops learning plans and training materials for a variety of competency levels.
Ensures continuous improvement by conducting evaluations and assessment measurements of learning programs. May include channel evaluations ridealongs and other observations.
Effectively partners with and leverages other Learning Organizations across organization to create full curriculum effectiveness.
Designs effective technical training programs including onboarding trainthetrainer new product launches and existing product solutions.
Designs and develops training materials for ease of localization.
May act as a facilitator to deliver training programs.
Manages workload responsibly and meets project goals and deadlines. Provides project management and leadership for course development and maintenance projects ensuring timeline and quality requirements are met; communicates project timelines statuses and action items to stakeholders.
May evaluate and recommend offtheshelf/vendor training programs training software and other systems used to drive learning transfer.
Keeps abreast of industry trends both within our businesses and within the learning field.
Redesigns existing programs with improvements to media and strategy; may also include redesigning for new/alternative delivery formats including mobile delivery.
Produces a variety of instructional media elements including graphics illustrations photographs animation text video and/or sound used to enhance online and instructorled content.

Minimum Requirements What you will bring to the role:
Bachelors degree in education instructional design communications or related field.
Graduate degree in Instructional Design (Preferred)
4 years of Learning & Development/Content development experience
Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
Demonstrated experience conducting needs assessments and designing and implementing training programs.
Applies planning and organizational skills to establish an effective course of action.
Working knowledge of media principles including an understanding of the uses and advantages/disadvantages of different media channels.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Lead the standardization and centralization of bestpractice principles of curriculum design delivery and evaluation for a large team of trainers.
Build template for centralized curriculum map including learning objectives KPIs etc.
Provide Instructional Design strategy for various innovation projects including but not limited to learning journey phased training and competency mapping.

Minimum Requirements
What you will bring to the role:
Understanding of learning principles/methodologies and application in a complex business environment.
Ability to think strategically and challenge traditional thinking
Ability to work independently while also being collaborative and effectively working with multiple levels of leadership and stakeholders
Organizational skills time management problemsolving and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are all prerequisites of an effective project manager
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
Ability to organize and work under strict time and production deadlines while producing quality deliverables.
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Instructional Design and/or Training Professional Certification a plus
3 years of strategic instructional design experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software including Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook virtual technology (e.g. Zoom) and collaboration tools like Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Comfortable and willing to communicate virtually via Zoom
Flexibility with schedule to connect with teams in various time zones

This position may be remote with travel to Foster City CA up to 10% of time.

Required Years of Experience: 23 years minimum BioPharma experience preferred.

Top 3 Required Skill Sets: High Technical skills and experience with LMS (OCTA) Programming in Rise and Storyline. Experience in Instructional Design and Adult learning principles. Abillity to manage and lead multiple projects at the same time.

Top 3 Nice to Have Skill Sets: Good written and verbal communication skills & digital presence for Zoom calls. Ability to build and manage to timelines and workflow. Bring a creative element and Ideation to the work

Required Degree or Certification : 4 year college degree and additional certifications and experience in relevant software (Articulate RISE etc)
