Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) to join its executive leadership team. The GCFO will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of the group and its subsidiaries formulating and implementing financial strategies aligned with the Groups overall vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and direction partnering with the CEO Board of Directors and Executive Management Team to achieve the Groups strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the Groups longterm goals ensuring financial sustainability and maximizing return on investment.
- Oversee all aspects of the financial operations for the Group and its subsidiaries including financial planning budgeting forecasting cash flow management and risk management.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including lenders investors financial advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the finance team in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities for optimizing the Groups capital structure and cost of capital.
- Develop and oversee a robust financial control framework to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Foster a highperforming finance team with a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a GCFO in a large multisubsidiary organization.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements for public companies.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation; an MBA is a plus.
