Job Description

Job Purpose
To identify the needs and challenges of the business focusing on targeting segmentation incentives go to market modelling and salesforce execution including new product development.
The role includes all analytical activities at national level including sales performance reporting primary market research forecasting scenario planning and KPI tracking.
To optimize promotional and operational efforts through the analysis and prediction of sales trends and markets. Assess data like customer metrics competitor information and sales channels to determine the best methods of increasing both revenue and market share. Provide advice to marketing department sales teams and executives to develop sales targets assess strategies to boost revenue and engage with marketing on promotional campaigns and budgets.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

Analyse Sales Data
One of the main duties of a sales analyst is assessing sales data for their organization. They examine monthly quarterly and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement comparing actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations. Additionally sales analysts assess market data including competitors to identify areas where the company can increase its efforts.

Segmentation and targeting:
Analysing each product target market and working on the potential for strategic focused products per rep per territory. Designing the rep call plan with focus on high potential accounts and customers to call on in the market. Analysing rep impact per call and analytics.
3.
Develop Projections and Forecasts
Use previous sales data and market trends to develop forecasts and projections. In this aspect of the role the sales analysts may develop reports showing expected sales and the potential effects of new strategies to aid in decisionmaking. In many cases the sales analyst may work closely with marketing sales and management personnel to develop forecasts and examine the potential revenue effects of various proposals.
4.
Market analysis:
Working on the market analysis prior to product entry prelaunch and launch. Assessing the market potential and data analysis on competitor landscape and barriers to entry. Completing a full due diligence and market analysis for any new market opportunity that the organization identifies. The individual drives informed business decisions through perspective and insights based upon accurate and reliable information.
5.
Guide Marketing Efforts
Work with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns. Using data and research to identify markets to target with advertising and promotional efforts or determine how to best set the company apart from its competitors. Collaborating with the marketing team is a key component of opening up new markets for growth.
6.
Examine Company Budgets
Assess the companys budget to guide investments in marketing and promotions. In this aspect of the role examine projected cash flow and compare it to actual sales results to identify divisions that are not hitting sales goals. Provide advice on future budget development. Additionally examine operational budgets to identify business areas that are not providing a return on investment (ROI) for the company.
7.
Present Reports to Company Leadership
Regularly prepare reports and presentations for executives and other relevant managers. These reports should include data on market performance competitor research and general sales trends. In the course of reporting to senior management provide advice on increasing revenue eliminating weaknesses within the companys sales ecosystem meeting sales goals and improving marketing and promotional efforts in certain sectors.

Key Relationships / Interfaces
Existing and potential customers such as neurosurgeons orthopaedic surgeons cardiologists surgeons radiologists critical care personnel anaesthesiologists nephrologists purchasing agents and other appropriate decision makers/opinion leaders on different levels.
Active involvement in HQ Support functions.

Requirements

Essential Skills / Experience
The sales analyst job description requires specific skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with statistical modeling software such as NetSuite Tableau and Demand Caster.
Experience with data visualization tools.
Experience with CRM software.
Experience with sales forecasting.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills oral and written; willingness to ask difficult questions to superiors as well as influence upwards with impact.
Very strong proven project management and organizational skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers managers and internal clients.
Manage CRM analytics.

Educational Qualifications
The sales analysts should have at least a bachelor s degree in marketing sales business administration & analytics accounting or finance. An additional advantage would be a master s degree. Having prior work experience ranging between three and five years.
