Junior React Developer

Summary.

Formpipe is an established and growing document management company with offices in Cambridge Nottingham Stockholm and Copenhagen as well as many other locations around the world.

We specialise in document generation and document archiving for all industry sectors with a particular focus on banking and ERP.

We are currently on a journey of modernisation which includes transforming our existing server and desktopbased applications into a single webbased solution. This is pivotal in our strategic shift towards cloudbased solutions.

We are seeking a junior mid level front end developer with good React knowledge to join our growing platform team. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming legacy user interfaces into modern efficient and scalable UIs built with React.

This is a role that will place you in a team of experienced React developers giving you great opportunities to learn and grow.

Working with your colleagues you will play a key part in designing and implementing our new webbased front end. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the project from initial analysis to deployment ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the applications.

Although this is primarily a frontend position you will be working closely with a team of full stack Java and React developers so any backend experience is also desirable.

We work to a modified form of Scrum. We like to work in an agile way but not let agile get in the way.

Duties and Responsibilities.

• Play a key role in converting existing user interfaces to React ensuring highquality standards.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate Java and .NETbased services.
• Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality.
• Ensure code is well tested and thought through

Knowledge and Experience.

Essential:

• 12 years of React experience.
• Good TypeScript skills.
• Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Some understanding of state management patterns and libraries such as Redux Zustand and Jotai.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• 3 years of React experience.
• Experience with endtoend testing tools such as Playwright and Selenium.
• Experience in using build tools like Vite.
• Experience with JavaScript development toolchains ESLint Prettier tsconfig etc.
• Experience using Storybook.
• Knowledge of security best practices.
