Job Description
Our client a specialist law firm renowned for their expertise in Catastrophic Injury are seeking a Serious Injury Solicitor to join their busy and expanding Serious Injury Department. The successful candidate will be working within an expanding MultiTrack department and dealing with complex serious injury claims from the initial stages through to settlement. The cases will include traumatic head brain spinal cord injury polytrauma and loss of limbs with some of the higher value claims reaching in excess of 1m. The successful candidate can work from Cardiff London or Southampton.
In these roles you will engage directly with clients their families and healthcare professionals to facilitate the best possible rehabilitation and achieve favourable claim settlements. While knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and its guiding principles is advantageous it is not mandatory as specialized training in this area will be provided.
We are searching for dedicated clientfocused forwardthinking meticulous enthusiastic and sociable individuals who can inject a dynamic and vibrant approach into the position. Strong organizational skills are essential as well as the ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Proficiency in handling complex personal injury claims is a prerequisite and exceptional client care skills are vital for addressing sensitive issues involving emotionally vulnerable clients.
- Manage a caseload of catastrophic injury cases ensuring highquality legal advice and representation.
- Conduct thorough investigations assess liability and provide sound legal opinions to clients.
- Collaborate with medical experts barristers and other relevant parties to build strong cases.
- Negotiate settlements participate in mediation and represent clients in court when necessary.
- Keep uptodate with legal developments case law and legislation relating to catastrophic injury claims.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case files ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Provide exceptional client service demonstrating empathy professionalism and effective communication throughout the process.
- Contribute to business development activities networking and raising the firms profile within the field.
