Job Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff administering pay benefits and leave and enforcing company policies and practices. This role is pivotal in shaping the culture of the company and ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:

    • Oversee the recruitment process including job postings interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants.
    • Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  2. Employee Relations:

    • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective thorough and objective investigations.
    • Maintain positive employee relations by addressing demands grievances or other issues.
  3. Compensation and Benefits:

    • Administer the companys compensation and benefits programs.
    • Ensure the compensation and benefits programs are competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
  4. Compliance and Policy Management:

    • Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  5. Performance Management:

    • Develop and manage the performance management process including goal setting performance evaluations and development plans.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management.
  6. Training and Development:

    • Identify training needs and create or procure professional development opportunities for employees.
    • Oversee the implementation of training programs to improve employee performance and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  7. HR Metrics and Reporting:

    • Develop and analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
    • Prepare and present reports to senior management.
  8. HR Systems and Technology:

    • Manage and optimize HR systems and processes.
    • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in HR systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field required.
    • Masters degree or HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 57 years of progressive HR experience.
    • Proven experience in managing HR functions in a fastpaced environment.
