About the Role:

As a Technical Accounting Manager you will play a pivotal role in evaluating accounting treatments managing the monthly consolidation process and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to provide accounting guidance on contracts business initiatives and new transactions.

Position Summary:

The Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting in and leading the evaluation of accounting treatments for significant transactions preparing financial disclosures and supporting the external audit and review process. You will also assist with the implementation of SarbanesOxley Section 404 key controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Evaluation: Assist in and lead the evaluation of the accounting treatment for significant transactions. Research applicable GAAP disclosure requirements for proposed transactions.
Contract Review: Review contracts to identify technical accounting matters and prepare analysis and memorandums.
Monthly Consolidation: Perform and manage the monthly consolidation process.
Financial Disclosures: Prepare financial information and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Audit Support: Assist in the external audit and review process by providing audit support and relevant schedules.
Balance Sheet Management: Prepare balance sheet analysis record journal entries and perform related balance sheet reconciliation for technical financial statement line items.
Data Accuracy: Review financial data for accuracy identify problems and support daytoday operations.
Discrepancy Reconciliation: Research and reconcile discrepancies verifying documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
Project Support: Work closely with project teams to provide support and ensure technical guidance is followed.
SOX Compliance: Assist with implementation of and compliance with SarbanesOxley Section 404 key controls and processes.
Process Improvement: Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams such as FP&A tax legal research product and operations to provide accounting guidance on contracts business initiatives and new transactions.
Intellectual Curiosity: Operate with intellectual curiosity and a sense of urgency.
AdHoc Projects: Other duties and adhoc projects as assigned.

What You Bring:

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting finance or related field.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Accounting preferred but not required.

Experience:

• 46 years of professional accounting experience in public accounting.
• Previous work experience with publicly traded companies.
• Working knowledge of Oracle or NetSuite preferred.
• Experience with multilocation retail or consumer services companies preferred but not required.
