Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Lead Software Engineer Compute Automation you will play a pivotal role in shaping and refining our platform architecture ensuring both functional and nonfunctional requirements for Compute and Storage products and services are met. You will collaborate with architects and experienced engineers to integrate modern strategies and drive towards a target architecture that supports nextgeneration domain architecture. This position involves creating and implementing technology frameworks for DevOps and CI/CD providing technical expertise to various teams and acting as a technical innovator and strategic leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Architecture: Develop and oversee the implementation of both functional and nonfunctional requirements for Compute and Storage products and services adhering to or refining the Platform Architecture.
• Collaboration and Influence: Partner with and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate modern strategies driving towards the target architecture.
• DevOps and CI/CD Framework: Participate in the creation and implementation of a technology framework for DevOps and CI/CD providing technical expertise to application development teams operations & site reliability teams and senior technology management.
• Technical Innovation: Act as a technical innovator and strategic thought leader for CI/CD pipeline technology and engineering discipline.
• Security and Secure Coding: Review and analyze solutions for security secrets management and secure coding practices.
• Agile Development: Design code test debug and document programs using Agile development practices.
• SRE Knowledge: Maintain knowledge in areas of SRE including Observability Automation Reliability Resiliency Scalability Configuration Management and DataDriven insights.
• Transformation Agent: Help the team learn and develop DevOps capabilities advancing them through a defined DevOps maturity model.
• Standards and Best Practices: Develop standards and best practices for engineering complex largescale technology solutions to address highly complex and typically crossorganizational issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate and consult with peers colleagues and managers to drive design and code reviews focused on solution requirements.
• Product Evaluation: Evaluate new products to achieve key outcomes and reevaluate new ways of using existing capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5 years of Software Engineering experience demonstrated through work experience training military experience or education.
  • 4 years of experience with scripting and development using languages such as Shell Perl Python or PowerShell.
  • 4 years of formal development experience with programming languages such as Java C# GoLang.
  • 2 years of experience with common infrastructure automation platforms such as Ansible Terraform or Packer.
  • 2 years of experience with GitHub Jenkins usage and integrations.
  • 2 years of experience with complex application solution design and oversight mentoring teams of developers/engineers.
  • 2 years of experience working across multiple technology domains including infrastructure application development cloud or middleware.
• Regulatory and Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to Distributed Infrastructure management Data Protection and Cyber Resiliency.
• Infrastructure Engineering:
  • 2 years of experience with infrastructure engineering and platform management for platforms such as RedHat Windows Converged HyperConverged Virtualization Block File Object or Data Protection.
  • Experience with business process engineering optimization and orchestration.
• Risk Management: Experience with designing and enabling highly complex risk management capabilities such as rebuild/repave data protection and recovery.
