Job Intro

As a Senior Regulatory Expert you will be part of the IOTA Foundations Legal & Regulatory Affairs team. In this pivotal role you will shape and manage our public affairs strategy lead regulatory projects and initiatives and cultivate influential relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies and industry organizations. You will monitor and respond to regulatory developments produce strategic written outputs and represent IOTA at international events ensuring our compliance and policy priorities align with the evolving landscape of DLT technology.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Shaping and managing IOTAs public affairs strategy together with the Regulatory Affairs Team.
• Supporting the establishment and implementation of a crossindustry Alliance on digital identity.
• Planning and implementing regulatory projects and initiatives together with the Regulatory Affairs Team and IOTAs external partners.
• Building and maintaining effective and influential relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies and agencies policymakers and other industry organizations to promote IOTAs policy priorities.
• Producing a broad range of written outputs including briefing papers reports and consultation responses to further IOTAs public affairs priorities.
• Monitoring regulatory developments impacting the IOTA ecosystem such as the Transfer of Funds Regulation MICAR AML and licensing requirements and preparing responses to them.
• Researching and anticipating unique legal and regulatory issues within the DLT cryptocurrency blockchain and technology space that could impact the IOTA ecosystem.
• Representing IOTA and IOTA projects in selected international events and conferences in coordination with the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs.
• Representation of IOTA in industry bodies like INATBA.

Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced level of university education in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs public policy or legal roles within the DLT cryptocurrency or blockchain sectors.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as the Transfer of Funds Regulation MICAR AML laws and licensing requirements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain influential relationships with government bodies regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical skills to research and anticipate regulatory issues
