Field Material Controller

This Sr. Front-End Developer / Analyst is responsible for the translation of UI/UX designs into consistent visual elements for our Ecommerce platform across mobile, tablet, and desktop experiences. The front-end developer will also be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the site more visually appealing and enhance usability. Position leads efforts for WCAG(ADA) compliance and implementing performance improvements in websites. Position works directly with third-party implementation partners and takes a lead role in directing front-end-related work. A strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery is required.

Essential Functions:

• Convert UI/UX designs created in Adobe CC/Photoshop and Adobe XD into effective user-facing features on the site.
  
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  
• Help direct the UI/UX design process to ensure the technical feasibility of the design.
  
• Optimize pages for maximum speed and scalability.
  
• Regularly review the site s Accessibility and Privacy compliance levels.
  
• Identify and implement Accessibility and Privacy improvements.
  
• Ensure page functionality across multiple platforms with a knowledge of being able to build for all devices.
  
• Work with implementation partners in sprint development cycles to bring front-end improvements and fixes onto the site, this includes managing Jira Tickets, UAT of development, and assisting in deployment testing and verification.
  
• Works closely with the IT team and business to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  
• Ability to effectively manage time and expedite urgent issues.
  
• Collaborate with the eCommerce team on best practices
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, and CSS3.
  
• Solid understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  
• Experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  
• Experience with code versioning tools, such as GIT.
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree in related field.
  
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a Front End Development role.
  
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
  
• Previous development experience for Ecommerce platforms desired, Magento preferred.
  
• Previous development experience for CMS platforms desired, WordPress & Magento preferred
