As a notforprofit and fullservice community hospital Sibley offers medical surgical intensive care obstetric oncology orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services as well as a 24hour Emergency Department. Sibleys campus is also home to Grand Oaks an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

General Summary: The Pharmacy Technician III performs both baseline duties (including those of a Pharmacy Technician II) as well as specialized technician duties as determined by departmental leadership. Able to train new pharmacy technicians. Competent to staff in at least two specialized areas/locations as determined by departmental leadership.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Required Licensure Certification Ongoing Training:

Current registration with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy for DC as a Pharmacy Technician.

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified required. Additional Certification(s) may also be required depending upon the needs and activities of the assigned department/division.

PTCB for pharmacy students can be waived for those who have an active Pharmacist Intern License.

Sterile Compounding Experience is necessary

Shift: PartTime Limited (20 hours per week) Rotating shifts. Weekend & holiday work is also required.
