Mulesoft Architect

Project Background:

• The purpose of this Scope of Services outlines the services to be provided by the Resource to the City for the purpose of Mulesoft architecture design and implementation the extent of services required the relationship to other work and the agencies or other parties that will interact with the Service Provider.
• The contents of this document are considered representative of the Scope of Services but are no means conclusive.

The Service Provider shall implement a standardized Mulesoft development environment in four phases:

1. Analysis & Design
2. Development & Implementation
3. Testing
4. Transition

• The City uses Mulesoft on Microsoft technologies.
• The Mulesoft environment interacts primarily with Microsoft products and services.

The Service Provider will have familiarity with Mulesoft configuration and deployments involving:

• We have a Mulesoft hybrid set up (onprem install with AnyPoint management in the cloud). Mulesoft runtime 4.4 and 4.5.2.
• Microsoft Azure for CI/CD pipelines and repositories.
• Microsoft Windows Servers
• Microsoft SQL
• Anypoint Studio on Microsoft Windows (10)

Qualifications

• 6 years working in IT as software engineer and/or software architect.
• 2 years of experience in an architect role on large scale MuleSoft implementations using Mulesoft in a Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with AnyPoint Platform Flow Design API Design.
• DataWave Cloud Hub Runtime Fabric API Management Salesforce Integration.
• Experience mentoring other junior developers.

Preferred Skills:

• MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect and Batch ETL experience.

Tasks

• Mulesoft Architecture Assessment Report.
• Mulesoft Solution Design Documents.
• Implemented Mulesoft Solutions & API Catalog.
• Comprehensive Documentation Package. Ensure each component has sufficient documentation for support and maintenance.
• Support and Maintenance Plan. What the City must do to maintain the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the requirements and design API endpoints for connecting primary origin and destination systems with Mulesoft solutions.
• Raise a formal objection and provide alternative solutions if any stated objectives are determined to be unfeasible in practice or contradictory to project requirements ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the engagement.
• Develop configure and deploy APIs to facilitate the creation and updating of records in accordance with the agreedupon specifications.
• Implement security measures and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Document API functionality including endpoint URLs request and response formats authentication methods and usage guidelines.
• Collaborate with the City to create catalogs of APIs tailored to different audiences such as developers business users and external partners.
• Ensure that the API catalogs are organized searchable and userfriendly providing relevant information and documentation to support API adoption and usage.
