House Assistant Cook

Seeking an experienced House Assistant to provide the daily operations of a private residence in Duncan. This handson role is a hybrid split position encompassing the operations of the household as well as assisting with food preparation and cooking for a single principal. This position is livein with accommodation and food provided.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should be committed to ensuring the smooth operations of the household. You have strong home cooking skills and are equally at ease preparing simple meals as you are following a recipe. An excellent communicator you approach challenges in stride and are solutions oriented.

Schedule

The core schedule is Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is some flexibility required with certain days ending a bit later and others starting earlier. Start times would be adjusted for these days.

Primary Responsibilities

Full oversight of the daytoday operations of the residence

Working with the family office to supervise home maintenance and repairs

Preparing familystyle meals prepping groceries and stocking the fridge with snacks and other items as needed based on the principal s schedule

Provide housekeeping and detailing duties during the day

Running errands grocery shopping and other provisioning as required

Provide regular updates to the family office regarding curfew and house rules

Experience working in a private residential setting in a handson position

Strong front of house service and people skills

A strong spirit of teamwork diplomacy and tact

Strong understanding of household systems and how they operate

Strong home cooking and food preparation skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Exceptional organizational skills priority management skills and followthrough

Highly accountable; extremely sound judgment

Applicants should be energetic and able to anticipate the needs of principal

Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times exercising diplomacy discretion and respect of boundaries

Possess an excellent understanding of English

Must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
