IT Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and support of our network and systems infrastructure. This role involves managing servers networks and security systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems administration strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Installation and Configuration:
  • Install and configure operating systems software and hardware.
  • Set up and maintain servers storage and network equipment.
• Network Administration:
  • Manage and support LAN WAN and VPN connections.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures.
• System Maintenance and Support:
  • Perform regular system updates patches and backups.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to users and resolve systemrelated issues.
• Security Management:
  • Implement and manage security protocols to protect systems and data.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Respond to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Prepare and present system performance and security reports.
  • Develop and update IT policies and procedures.
• Project Management:
  • Plan and implement IT projects including system upgrades and migrations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT systems meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven 2 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Indepth knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows Linux) and network technologies.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security principles.
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are preferred.
