IT Auditor

Job Summary:

The IT Auditor will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls assessing risks and conducting audits of our IT systems and processes. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities recommending improvements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT auditing excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning and Execution:
  • Plan and conduct IT audits in accordance with audit plans and standards.
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls and security measures.
  • Identify risks and assess the adequacy of risk mitigation strategies.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed audit findings and reports including recommendations for improvements.
  • Present audit findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA) and industry standards.
  • Assess IT risks and develop audit programs to address identified risks.
  • Monitor and evaluate IT security policies and procedures.
• Technical Assessment:
  • Conduct technical assessments of IT systems applications and infrastructure.
  • Review security controls access management and data protection measures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to understand technical aspects of systems under audit.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on emerging IT risks audit techniques and industry best practices.
  • Recommend enhancements to audit methodologies and processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior auditors and IT staff on auditrelated matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Accounting or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification preferred.
• Proven 24 years of experience as an IT Auditor or in a similar role with knowledge of audit methodologies and standards.
• Strong understanding of IT systems networks and security controls.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
• Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
