Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Payroll Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions while adhering to all federal state and local payroll tax regulations. This role requires a detailoriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly semimonthly and/or monthly payroll cycles accurately and on time.
  • Calculate wages deductions commissions and other payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify data integrity and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding payrollrelated matters.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR finance and other departments to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately.
  • Utilize payroll software and systems effectively to maintain data integrity and streamline processes.
  • Provide training and support to employees on payrollrelated policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role handling payroll processing and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal state and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
