Head of IT
Reporting to: CEO
Our client is a leading event management platform company in Singapore.
Background
The client plans to transit the core event management application from onpremise platform to 3rd party SaaS application cloud platform in the next 1218 months
The Head of IT will currently lead & manage the onprem infrastructure team & engineering team which will transit into managing an optimized team of infra & engineering team to support internal corporate applications and working closely with the 3rd party SaaS service provider.

The Head of IT will currently lead & manage the onprem infrastructure team & engineering team which will transit into managing an optimized team of infra & engineering team to support internal corporate applications and working closely with the 3rd party SaaS service provider.
Requirements
- Lead the infrastructure team in the operation planning upgrade and maintenance of a hybrid server environment and its associated technologies
- Build and established infrastructure Platform Operating Standards for the company
- Manages annual OPEX and CAPEX budget for multi cloud infrastructure to meet overall strategic objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge and proven records in design and operation of multicloud hybrid platform across multiple hosting technologies and cloud service providers
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure As Code for provisioning monitoring patching logging and system administration all using code
- Be proactive selforienting and selfmonitoring leadership with ability to work with competing priorities
- Lead the team in delivering platform and functional engineering capabilities that will drive the company vision and strategies in area such as containerization cloud adoption cyber security and Infrastructure as code
- Create and implement standards best practices and processes to build a strong team and work culture
- Serve as the key support in providing all infrastructure and technical advices
- Source manage and work with designated vendors to ensure the smooth operations and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure disaster recovery and desktop/laptop computer support as well as ticketing agent counters support
- Ensure that Network Servers & Cloud and its associated technologies operate efficiently and deliver a secure platform for its business
- Lead and provide operational support for all data centres server rooms servers (both onpremise and Cloud) and network equipment
- Provide IT Network leadership and input into application systems and cyber security projects including the planning provision and support of the IT infrastructure
- Manage the implementation of network and infrastructure related projects
- Manages the fulfilment of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and Cyber Security Incident Response Plan
- Manage relationships with clients partners and external stakeholders related to Infrastructure and engineering projects
- Manage team of service delivery engineers devops software developers designers product managers and project managers in Singapore and Offshore.
- Evaluate and apply suitable tools and processes to increase productivity in both development and operations; and
- Identify and/or evaluate emerging technologies that would yield competitive advantage
- Work with CEO under the guidance of the Board’s Technology and Risk Committee.
- Degree in Engineering Computer Science or Information Technology
- 12 or more years’ experience in Network & Servers operations with managerial experience in a MNC environment
- Strong knowledge in Cyber Security multicloud environment and handson Infrastructure and IT Disaster Recovery experience
- Strong experience in a hybrid server environment
- Strong experience in vendor management
- Knowledge of DevOps Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) platform to support the coordination integration and flow of software development testing and deployment.
- Strong leadership experience in managing a team of at least 5 team members or more.
- Strong communications skills in written and verbal is a must
